School Hours
8.50am to 3.10pm daily.
Children should arrive at school after 8.40am. A member of staff will be on duty from 8.40am onwards. Any children who arrive earlier than 8.40am are the responsibility of their parents so please do not send your children to school before then.
Absence Procedure
What we ask from parents:

Ring the school on 0121 453 7829 before 8:45am on the FIRST day of absence.

Send a note in on the first day your child returns to school.

Whenever possible, make all medical appointments after 3:15pm.

Contact us before 8:45am if your child is going to be late for school, giving the reason.

Do not plan to take holidays during term-time.

Do not keep your child off school all day if you have overslept.

Please ensure that we have correct contact numbers.
What we will do:

We will contact parents by 'phone to check for absences.

We will liaise with the Education Welfare Officer about absenteeism and ask her to become involved with families if we have concerns.

We will NOT authorise holidays if a child's attendance is of concern, or if the holiday is over ten school days.
Collection of Children from School
At 3.10pm children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are escorted by their teacher to the playground. It is parents' responsibility to collect their child from that area. Any child who is not collected will be cared for by the duty teacher and/or the school office. Any parent who knows he/she is going to be late collecting their child is required to inform the school in advance. We are extremely conscious of all aspects of Health and Safety and ask for your co-operation please.
